Is the tooth fairy still working?

I cracked a tooth in half yesterday on a sandwich, put the remnant under the pillow and this morning... nothing... zilch. Is she still in employment and what is the going rate these days?

Is the tooth fairy still working?
It has to be a full tooth, silly billy!

The Tooth Fairy Guide clearly states that half a tooth, a fake tooth or dentures will not be accepted.

Tough luck.
Reply:No, apparently not. For years my daughter has been putting her teeth under her pillow and not once has the tooth fairy given her any money for it. Poor mite. She cries her eyes out each time.
Reply:they don't take rotten ones but when she comes to my house for the kids it's a £1
Reply:She was forced into retirement. With today's economy and the falling dollar, she would have needed to leave $157,487.19 under each pillow to get the same buying power as kids in the 50s. Just was not worth it for her.

I have a quarter you can have though!
Reply:As i get older the less chance she come!

Why ever is that!
Reply:THERES NO SUCH THING!

SILLY BILLY!

LOL!
Reply:when i was about 8 years old..my mum told me she accidently sucked her up the vacuum cleaner..had no munies ever since booo hoooo! sorry to break it to you dood. she's long gone.
Reply:Yes - but her ladder in the shop for repairs....wouldn't want her falling on a loose rung, would ya?
Reply:She brought my son $5 for the first. It made the $1 for the second look chintzy. I recommend she stays in the lower range.
Reply:Yep she runs the NHS Dental Service .

She doesnt have to run around collecting pennies anymore ,

she just pulls em all out an charges a fortune !
Reply:haha funny!

wooooooo santa is real:)
Reply:nah shes retired....and now they are lookin to find another person for the job but nobody seems to fit it perfect like she did.
Reply:£1 in my house. Under 13s only I'm afraid! : )
Reply:YEP! they still are out there. Going rate is about a tenner. Was 6p when I was a kid. Bloody inflation.
Reply:Due to government cuts you'll be lucky to get the tooth fairy on NHS........I've just received my sixpence for a tooth I lost 30 years ago. But the private tooth fairy is very active, and she also gives Tesco club points or air miles.
Reply:Never did. Fairies? are you kidding? Teeth are a parent giveaway, not a fairy. You sure its not a Leprecahn(Spell)
Reply:Don't put the tooth under your pillow,man....save it for the INSURANCE-company-!!!!

THEY will pay-!!
Reply:not in my house
Reply:Lord I wish, I'd knock all my teeth out and pay some bills ;)

Nah... You know it's strange, when I was little you got like a nickle a tooth, now kids get 1-5 dollaars a tooth.... geez Thank God are kids are still getting their teeth in. NOT loosing them. Altough, mine will get 50 cents... no more.
Reply:No, the tooth fairy is now an elderly woman leaving depend diapers under pillows in exchange for dentures.
Reply:As was said, it should be a whole tooth. Her Tooth alarm only goes off if a whole tooth is placed under a pillow. She has been wary of false alarms, due to all the children placing teeth under cardboard boxes, trash bags, and other things that they have been using as pillows.

And she only appears if the loser of the tooth totally, wholly and undoubtedly believes in her. If you have even an ounce of doubt, then she does not come.

According to the grapevine, she has been a little reticent due to her upcoming nuptials as well.

The going rate is $1.00, or the equivalent of in whichever country, simply because so many people are losing teeth, the value has gone down.

And ever since the incident with the old man who tried to trap her? She's been a little careful not to be seen.

=^.^=
Reply:I got 20p for my milk teeth, I had my wisdom teeth out last year and nothing! I think itsolny for milk teeth.

Hard luck
Reply:Since she originated in Europe she probably deals in Euros now. You should've known that she only accepts whole teeth, that's why you got nothing. If you yank out the rest of it and glue it together with superglue you may have some success. Perhaps you'll get a whole Euro that you can exchange for 3 shiny new quarters.
Reply:yep shes still in employment, had to put another £3 under my daughters pillow last night, 5th tooth in about 2 months..think the tooth fairy will be moving on now
Reply:I think she is, I was hoping to find out last week when I had a dodgy tooth removed but the dentist wouldn't let me take the tooth home to put under my pillow :( I was hoping to ask the tooth fairy for an application form as I already have a step ladder and some plyers if I ever need to make change! But I'll just have to wait til my child is old enough to have teeth falling out now :-/
Reply:She was taking a tee-eeth break.
