Mine was called Popsy, and lived under a tree stump in the garden....every time I lost a tooth she left me a sixpence and a letter in tiny handwriting!
Who remembers the Tooth Fairy?
Goodness me doingitall - sixpence? how old are you? lol
My daughter wants to be a tooth fairy when she grows up (she is only 5, bless her) She believes there are fairies for everything - we have the sleep fairy - she leaves a good girl sticker every time Holly sleeps in her own bed all night, after 5 nights of staying in bed and getting stickers, the sleep fairy leaves a little present under her bed. We also have the naughty fairy who takes the good girl stickers away (boo!)
We also have the tangle fairies who make Holly's hair all knotty just before bed time and they sometimes come at night too!
She hasn't lost any teeth yet so she hasn't had a visit from the tooth fairy but we do have a little pot for her to leave a £1 coin in. Holly thinks the tooth fairies build fairy castles with the teeth.........
For Gawds Sake, don't let Cad spoil it for her by spilling the beans the old meany!!!
Reply:Remember her, what you mean. She still comes to my house
Reply:We're tight and all, we go clubbing every other saturday.
Reply:She's sitting next to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:Oww bad memories! I was horified to be woken up one night to discover the tooth fairy was... My dad!!! oh, the trauma, after recovering from the shock he told me to go back to bed and that its ok and we'll talk about it tomorrow, oww! And that I don't dare tell my sister!
Reply:Yeah i remember her!! Wish she would still visit me when i was stuck for cash lol
Reply:For some strange reason, ours lived under the carpet on the 3rd step from the bottom on the stair case on the left hand side.It left a threepenny bit or a big old penny but there was no written contact.
Reply:'I've got my out fit on right now' HHEE HHEE sham-own mother F*cker
Reply:I remember all to well and at a dollar per tooth it got a little pricey
Reply:That was before Cad swatted it, thinking it was the worlds biggest mosquito............... All that was left was a red blob running down the wall with a pair of disembodied wings hanging from it..... So err sorry about that...Mind you your false teeth look great and make excellent castanets when we are visiting Spain.... I say
Reply:my dentist saves all the tooth fairy's money. and buys sweets for everyone.
Reply:When I lost a tooth my mother told me the tooth fairy was on strike, and wouldn't be back until next week dad was paid every month. I kept my tooth and was duly paid.
Reply:Yes and she still owes me $10
Reply:of course i remember the tooth fairy!
there were little stars and glitter sprinkled on the window pane when the tooth fairy came!( courtesy of a very creative mom).
Reply:I remember her and how excited I would get to lose a tooth, just to get that shiny brand new quarter.
Good memory's.
Reply:Remember her?? I used to BE her!! lol
Reply:Wow, I thought the tooth fairy was a state's thing. I didn't know people believe in her internationally. I read a fairytale that said if you wake up and peek at the toothfairy, she'll turn into your Mother or Father so she doesn't scare you in the blink of an eye.
So, the one time I saw my Mom putting some $$ beneath my pillow, I assumed she was the tooth fairy in disguise!
Reply:who is this toothfairy you speak of?
Reply:My kids saw a sign for a dentist office with a tooth on it and decided that the tooth fairy lived there. My son's friend is the son of the dentist and when I told her she said that tooth fairy lives in the upstairs rooms where a light is on in the window. She told us that she works with the tooth fairy and that she uses the teeth to make dentures. My kids asked if they could visit the tooth fairy but she said the tooth fairy sleeps during the daylight hours.
Reply:Popsy's a cute name! So very apropriate when a tooth 'pops' out! My tooth fairy forgot me once. She remembered the next night. I got 50c a tooth (enough for 5 small lollies from the dairy). She lived in the fairy house on the cliff edge along my local beach. It was about 2 feet high, made of cement, and had a really tiny door and a triangle roof. When my tooth fairy clapped it sounded like the sound I make when I 'clap' two fingers together. My Nana gave me a fairy-kiss, like the kiss fairy's give, by batting her eyelashes against my cheek when I shut my eyes.
Reply:the tooth fairie visits our house on a regular basis. Except it is $1 she leaves
Reply:good 4 u I had a hard time/getting my WISDOM teeth.
C U SOON!
Reply:I do. I used to put a lost tooth in a little china dish on my dresser and in the morning there'd be a quarter there. A quarter went a lot farther in those days. ;-)
Reply:Years ago, maybe 25 or 30 years ago, there was a middle aged guy who'd wear one of those long, chiffon dancing skirts over his clothing and carry a wand. He'd walk for several miles on Rt. 5, New York State, waving the wand at cars and buisnesses, til he got to the intersection of 155, then turn around and walk back to where ever he lived, still waving his wand. He told people he was the tooth fairy. I don't know if he's still alive, but one day, about 20 years ago, he wasn't there anymore.
Reply:yes! altho mine was just called the tooth fairy and would leave up to a £1 sometimes under my pillow!
we used to go searching for fairies in the garden when we were little and make them tea parties in our dolls house!
Reply:i am the tooth fairy do you know the going rate is a £1.00 a tooth these days. i dont have an endless supply of these gold coins lol
Reply:Mine was just called the tooth fairy but she lived in one of the holes in my bedroom wall(i found a hand drill when i was 4!) and when a tooth fell out i found 5p or 10p(if it was a molar) under my pillow the next morning.
Reply:oh how can i forget her she still pays a visit...she's even become friends with my kids...they love her...specially when she leaves a little something for them under their pillows....
Reply:I do. I could never understand why she would always leave me Sherbet Dib Dabs under my pillow. Defeats the object don't you think?
