Santa Claus is a representation of St. Nicholas...a very real saint who was good to the poor and gave gifts. He is a very important saint in the Orthdox Christian world; ranks second to John the Baptist in order of saints.


The tooth fairy is a cute little story made up for small children...who, amazingly, believe in fairies without blinking. Many Wiccans and Pagans will tell you that fairies are quite well and they are adults!


The easter bunny is a character based on the rabbit being a symbol of fertility.


But, in a symbolic way, the word bunny is a takeoff on the Hebrew word B'Nai, or Lord.

Reply:No. They were all made up. Santa claus was made up by a guy in coca cola. And in the olden days... you wouldnt see any one dressed up like santa claus.

Nicholas was famous for his generous gifts to the poor, in particular presenting the three impoverished daughters of a pious Christian with dowries so that they would not have to become prostitutes. He was very religious from an early age and devoted his life entirely to Christianity.





The tooth fairy is a traditional children's character said to give children a small amount of money (or sometimes a gift) in exchange for a baby tooth when it comes out of a child's mouth.





The Easter Bunny is a rabbit character who brings gifts and candy to children on the Easter holiday, an example of folklore mythology.





So out of the three, Santa Clause was the only folklore mythology that was based on a historical person. The remaining two are fictional characters.
