The first tooths jumped ship and due to be reaped by the tooth fairy tonight. Unfortunately, shes got the night off, so i'll have to collect for her, whats the going rate of exchange on a first tooth??
Whats the going rate for teeth?? (tooth fairy helper asking)?
Well, after inflation and taking our currently weak economy, I would say that the value of said tooth to be equal to a 2007 Chevy Malibu. If she endured an unusual amount of pain in losing the tooth then I would upgrade the value to a 2007 Chevy Corvette.
That being said, these items are hard to stuff under the pillow so I would suggest a gift certificate to her favorite store where she may pick her gift, and a signed letter from the tooth fairy congratulating her on her first.
Reply:I gave a dollar coin. They thought it was so cool!
Reply:I hear that for a first tooth these days, the going rate is £1, accompanied by a special letter from the tooth fairy :-)
Reply:I gave mine a £1.00 for each tooth and £5.00 for each double
BUT I kept them all in a special box in a special place and years later the kids found them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SO I asked for the money back LOL [only as a joke]
Reply:A dollar, if its their front teeth..maybe a little toy.
Reply:i would say $5
Reply:One dollar at least. Make sure the Tooth Fairy leaves a note behind ... you can find one here. Too cute:

Billy Bear 4 Kids is a great website also for other letters: Santa, Easter Bunny .. etc. IF you don't want to download his software then just type one out on the computer with some really cute clipart.
We choose to leave our son coupons for things the wanted instead....example: This coupon is good for one toy of your choice. There ya go.
Reply:£1.00 cheaper than the dentist .. magic.....lol
Reply:I'd say £1, when I was a kid my friend used to toys like barbies and things, I was always dead jealous...lol. Now in hind sight though I like the tradition of the money.
Reply:My kids get $5 for the first tooth. $2 for the next. By the time they are in third grade and they have lost many teeth, it goes down to a dollar.
Reply:A pound or two.
Don't be too indulgent.
Reply:I got 50p for my teeth but my sister gets a pound now! How not fair!
Reply:I gave $2 for the first tooth and $1 for the rest of them.
Reply:A pound, just make sure the helper always has the right change otherwise you might have to increase the amount.
Reply::) about $1
I had a friend when I was little that would get plastic jewerly, beads, etc. for hers...I thought it was pretty cute:)
Reply:£1.00 is realistic and probably a little note from the toothfairy for the 1st tooth......
Reply:A dollar a tooth.
Reply:I would give $5 for the first tooth.
after that i would keep a rate of $1.
But then again,
does your kid know the difference at his/her age?
Reply:My tooth fairy OK's me to give $1 tied in a bow for every tooth! Although I slipped one night when my son lost his first moler and I had accidentally put two crisp brand new dollars under the pillow instead of one so now the tooth fairy brings $2 for molers....ugh:)!
Reply:your cute!!!! I would say $5 only cuz I used to get a buck and that was 30 years ago. I have a 12 year old he would get $3-4 which ever the fairy had that nite but with my younger ones I am hoping it goes up to $5 inflation ya know
Reply:At that age kids dont have a sence/value of money wouldnt give them loads
£1.00
Reply:about £1 £2 if they had it pulled out at dentist!
Reply:usually a dollar but kids like coins, so four quarters will make your child extremely happy
Reply:My kids got a present for the very first tooth, and then every tooth after a Sacajawea dollar (not sure if I spelled that right, but it is the golden dollar coin so that it is more special than just a regular dollar bill). For my daughter's present, she got a CD she had really been wanting, and my son got a new book about something he really liked (of course, these presents had been picked out and hidden before the big day; since you don't have much time I'd just give a $5 bill). They had been told that the special present was only for the first tooth since that one you have to be the most brave. Oh, yea, and a note congratulating them.
Reply:first tooth 2$, next teeth after 1$, pulled teeth 3$, a tooth that caused your kid pain 2$,molars 2$ final tooth 5$ (because they will not receive anymore money for their teeth
well thats what i (a 13 year old girl) thinks
good luck
daughter of the tooth fairy
=)
Reply:I give my daughter 2 quarters for each tooth, usually.
Reply:the tooth fairy might be on a budget, so what is comfortable. regardless of what other kids get, the decision should be the amount that is affordable. remember this will go on for quite a few years so i would set the amount carefully........
or 1 dollar coin
Reply:the first tooth is worth more cause its special bout 3pounds
Reply:I gave my daughter 20.00
Reply:For us, there is no tooth fairy. I take the opportunity to give a physiology lesson. It's part of growing up, not because some fairy wants to visit. I'm sickened knowing some 10 year old still believes in Santa Claus.
