How much $$$ does/should the tooth fairy give out nowadays to a five year old?
Wait, are you saying what I think you're saying? There's no tooth fairy?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Ok, $1 is good enough. If you are neglectful, like I was once and your kid writes the tooth fairy an angry note with a copy of a lawsuit attached, you may need to make it $5.
Reply:about 2 doller and 4 dollers if it is pulled out by a dentist.
Reply:$5
Reply:Don't put money, put candy or some other proxy for the money.
Reply:A buck should do the trick. They really don't know the value of money at their age.
Reply:$100. lol. I got 25 cents when I was a kid. With inflation it should be 50 cents.
Reply:I think a dollar would be plenty, that's what my daughters give their kids. My girls received a dollar their first tooth and 50 cents for all the others, each.
Reply:my son says a 20 is the going rate, but he gets a 5.......
Reply:its usually only ! coin, so whichever is the larges t coin denomination your currency allows.
Reply:One dollar should be enough. Putting too much money under their pillows may provoke the wrong idea in their minds about the tooth fairy and the value of money.

Hope this helps! :)
Reply:A dollar should suffice. A five year old doesn't have that many expenses. When I was younger I got quarters, and even then I didn't have anything to spend it on. (granted, you could buy a lot more for a quarter then than you can now.)
Reply:$1 to $5 max. While its nice to keep the tooth fairy thing going for a bit, the money is only meant as a token to buy the smallest of treats for being so brave.
Reply:how about a small toy instead?
Reply:get some silver dollars or half dollars from the bank...that is what we always got and they look better and last longer than the paper money...kids think they are worth more!
Reply:I believe they should receive a dollar for every year ( $5 for a 5 yr old). That should be enough and explain to them the value of a dollar.
Reply:I get a Penny, a Nickel, a Dime, and a Quarter. My grandma does it that way, and we arent complaning. And besides, Younger kids like how coins feel and look.
Reply:I used to get a silver dollar for each tooth.
Reply:The tooth fairy left my kids $1 for each tooth.
Reply:i give my 5 year old $1 cus 5 year olds don't have any use for money so i give him $1 and take him to the dollar store and he gets him self a toy of course he thinks the tooth fairy gave it to him so after he got his money from the tooth fairy i give him a ride to the dollar store and he picks out any toy he wants and i also have a 3 year old and the tooth fairy gives her a quarter because sh really doesn't have any use for money so she pputs it in her piggy bank
