Why do people say that the tooth fairy is a fairy tale but a imaginary deity called God exists?

IF I GET A STUPID ANSWER FROM ANY OF YOU I SHALL HAVE THE HONOR OF REPORTING YOU SO BACK OFF!

Anyways why is it that they say that it is impossible for the tooth fairy or Santa to be a fairy tale but when it comes to God he exists because of a stupid book? Come on people! Think about this! Stop relying on your priests to give you answers! Be the individual not a mindless robot in the mass ceremony.

Why do people say that the tooth fairy is a fairy tale but a imaginary deity called God exists?
It's called cherry picking reality. You pick the parts that you like and ignore the parts you don't like instead of accepting it all as reality.
Reply:I was thinking about worshipping Gandalf. He has a lot of powers and I read about him in a book. :-D

Basically, they just don't want to take any responsibility for their own actions.
Reply:Because you touch yourself at night.
Reply:I do not have priests, I know G-d exists and it has nothing at all to do with a book.
Reply:Yaunnnnn,,

Well, I was not Catholic until AFTER 20 years of study, from Christian, non Christian, and Historical perspectives.

What does that tell you?

Would a "mindless Robot" spend 20 years studying before joining?

Peace be with you.
Reply:Well, accept it or not, there is proof for God's existence. Not for the Tooth Fairy.
Reply:You know the tooth fairy exists when you have children who believe in her.

God resides in the same "place" That's how you know God.
Reply:People did not believe because of a book. Regardless of which religion you are referring to, the book is a reflection of their concept of a higher power than themselves.
Reply:That's mature.

Excuse me, explain what mummy did with my milk teeth.... Then try to explain the Creation.

Then compare the two.

Peace ;o)
Reply:People were raised to believe the holy book, that's just the way it was, as an adult you may choose to worship what you want. I believe there is a higher power a;; religions are based on it. The Christians took most of their practices from the Pagans. They make more sence to honor nature and do no harm .
Reply:I knew He exsisted before I ever read the book or talked to a Pastor. He came before me (Jesus) and I saw Him. Not believing in Jesus does not erase His love for us or the many miracles of the world. However, knowing Santa doesn't exist does stop the presents that supposedly come form Santa, same with tooth fairy. Any parent knows these two don't exist because they put the money under the pillow, and write 'from Santa' on the gifts.
Reply:Because when one comes to know the Lord, one feels it not just in the mind, but in the soul. One sees the miracles that the Lord performes in ones life. I have been blessed enough to have seen Christ in His spirit form. He was there and saved me from death both in this life and in the next. I know that I will spend eternity in His presence. It goes far beyond reading the Bible. When you let Christ into your life and let Him take control of your life, you change. I have a peace within me that I never had before, but it only came about because of Him and it took many years for my stubborn, earthly self to gradually turn control over to Him. That doesn't mean that I'm perfect; it only means that I have made progress. My heart rejoices when I think of His sacrifice for my salvation. There is historical and archaeological evidence that most events of the Bible did take place. One who follows God or Christ is not a mindless robot, that person has only found something that you haven't. I truly pray that you find the peace that passeth all understanding.
Reply:Because both the Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus provide "evidence" of their existence....evidence that is nonetheless clearly faked by parents, leaving money under pillows and presents under the tree, and by imposter's posing as Santa Claus in shopping malls at Christmas time. The same can be said of the Easter Bunny. As children grow up, they realize that these "evidences" are nothing but pious fraud, and they reject the existence of these imaginary benevolent gift-givers.

God, however, although just as imaginary as the Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus, provides no evidence of his existence (which has conveniently been built into his definition). This makes his existence much harder to debunk.

Why is there no evidence of God? Because God "wants" us to believe in him without evidence.

Why can't I see God? Because God is "invisible".

Why doesn't God answer my prayers? He does, the answer is just "no".

Why doesn't God help me? He does, it's just in a way that you are "incapable of understanding".

Why does God allow me to suffer? God has a "special purpose" for everyone.

It's like the Emperor's New Clothes. Simply put, a do nothing God that cannot be seen or heard cannot be disproven on his own merits, (which is really by design), thus people continue to believe in him because they fear to be the first person in the room to admit that he's not really there.
Reply:I didn't realize the tooth fairy was in historical journals from ancient civilizations.

Every person is entitled to their own beliefs.

Some choose to base it on made up stories of tooth fairies and other choose to base it on what is historical evidence explaining beliefs in God, Gods, and Goddesses.

It is pretty simple really.
