Should the Tooth Fairy leave a self portrait and phone number?

My 6 1/2 year old daughter has left notes under her pillow requesting the tooth fairy leave a picture and phone number after she got a nice note under her pillow for her tooth. I think she wants to network. I am looking for a tasteful response.

Should the Tooth Fairy leave a self portrait and phone number?
I think the best way to go about this is to leave another note saying that fairys don't have phones and they only correspond through letters- like Santa. You could say something like "If you ever wish to write to me, just put your letter in an envalope and stick it under your pillow."

This way your daughter can write to the tooth fairy and you'll know when she does because she'll ask you for an envalope. If she puts a note under her pillow without you knowing and she's mad that the fairy didn't pick it up, remind her that she needs to put it in an envalope like the tooth fairy said. Crisis averted.

As for a portrait, I would just sketch a rough version of a fairy with wings. You could even include a note that she didn't have a photograph and that she's not very good at drawing, but tried her best.

Do what you can to enjoy this magic in your child while it lasts. Make it the best possible experience for her- she only gets one shot at this kind of stuff in life and it doesn't last very long. Remember how magical it was to believe?
Reply:You know, I think this can be done.

I know a father who uses parchment paper and stamps hoof prints on notes left at Christmas time.

You might leave a little sparkely note telling her that fairys cannot be photographed. This is touted in myth and folklore so you may be able to even find a children's story to back it up. Naturally, all that travel time - she's not home much to take calls.

I see no harm in leaving notes. You're only 6 1/2 once! :)
Reply:I think it's cute but if your child gets a note what about other children at school? I think you should tell her that the tooth fairy is so busy that she will be unable to talk on the phone and since she is always busy at night that no one has ever been able to take her picture. (sorry for the long sentence)
Reply:depends on how far you want to go with this white lie. Does she have the personality that would be crushed to find out that it was you all along? Or, is she playing dectives by requesting further proof that the tooth fairy exists?
Reply:The answer is the toothfairy doesnt have time to leave a picture and a note, because of all the work she has to do and she has to remain secret, or she is just shy (unlike Santa). Leaving a picture and a note will leave your daughter open to being told the truth in school.
Reply:Yes because the tooth fairy is not real.
Reply:When I was little, my parents got a doll dressed like the tooth fairy, took a polaroid picture of it, and stuffed the picture under my pillow as proof the tooth fairy had been there. I was gullible enough to fall for it, though I understand many other children, especially these days, would probably not be.
Reply:pictures that show a blur of fairy pink and/or have a relative pretend to be the tooth fairy at least. Call that relative to set it up to avoid confusion.and warn said relative before she calls the tooth fairy
