In your house, what's the tooth fairy's going rate?

Our tooth fairy brings 20p a tooth - 50p for a big back tooth.

What does he/she slip under the pillow at your house?

In your house, what's the tooth fairy's going rate?
When was little, I got 20p per tooth!!!! I thought that was amazing!!!! It was great!!!! I used to leave the tooth fairies little stickers, biscuits and always made sure they had a christmas present too! I wrote them letters and asked them how to be a fairy!!!! lol !!!!

But now I'm 25......so I'm guessing it's gone up slightly....and they never replied!

But 20p to a little kid is a lot, and don't forget they don't understand the value of money, so 20p seems like 5 quid.
Reply:a pound for any teeth.
Reply:£1 flat rate!
Reply:last tooth cost me £2
Reply:We have a very forgetful tooth fairy in our house so while the going rate is a pound we usually have to give it to the kids a week later and say the tooth fairy forgot!!
Reply:£1.00 a tooth g/son had a tooth removed it came apart in 3 peices he wanted to put 1 peice under his pillow for 3 nights
Reply:The first one was £2, then it's £1 for each tooth afterwards.
Reply:£2 for the first lost tooth, £1 for every other one! 20p is a bit tight, what can you buy with that?
Reply:costs me two pounds a tooth my sons no fool when it comes to money just like his mother!!

**edit** Damn inflation caught out again!!!
Reply:£1 - and she is fairly good too - only ever forgot once .... lol
Reply:a pound a tooth, your tooth fairy is tight
Reply:definately £1
Reply:a doller and any tooth fairy that pays less should not be a tooth fairy at all
Reply:$1 U.S. for any front tooth, $1.50 for any molar. My son seemed pleased with that. My sister in law gives her daughter money and a small trinket gift.
Reply:£1 per tooth.

i was so happy back then to get it haha

but then the fairy wouldnt be happy because i bought 50, 1penny sweets :P

its upsetting now though, im growing older and the fairy isnt coming anymore :(
Reply:£1 the robbing cow
Reply:20p for single, 50p for a double tooth
Reply:wow, I thought it would have gone up by now, when my children were little, it was 50p for normal and £1 for double teeth, maybe I was being to genorous 20 years ago
Reply:$5 for the first and last tooth lost. $1 for all other teeth.
Reply:Mommy slips them a $5 if they go flush the tooth down the toilet so I don't have to look at it!

(We did away with the toothfairy because mommy gags at the sight of loose/ out teeth!)
Reply:The tooth fairy never visited my house, nor will he.
Reply:$5.00 US
Reply:When i was a kid it was 50p per gnasher. £1 coins weren't out at the time and if they put too much under there i would only blow it on sweets promoting more teeth to drop out and getting more cash. Parents aren't as daft as we think...
Reply:$1 or $2 Australian plus a small present like a book or hair clips etc depending on what we have at the time.
Reply:Not been to our house yet, but we are hoping to set a rate of 50p per tooth.
Reply:OH dear I think the kids I nanny for may be a tad spoilt, they get £10 for a first tooth, £5 for second and £3 after that.
Reply:10 p a small tooth and 50p a bigger tooth
Reply:£1! also I forgot one time so the next night put a note under the pillow from the tooth fairy saying she had hurt her wing the day before, my daughter wrote a note back with lots of questions, so the tooth fairy had to reply.......... now they're penpals!!
Reply:Not sure yet!!! My daughter is keeping all her teeth that fall out so she can save her money!!!
Reply:$5 for the first tooth, $2 for a big front tooth, $1 for all others. My kids have a little bag that hangs on their doorknob just for teeth, so the tooth fairy doesn't accidentally wake them up fishing around under the pillow.
