My little boy's tooth came out, he is excited about the tooth fairy coming..?

Its that long ago that the tooth fairy came to me that I cant remember if I just got money or something else. Do I need to do something else to make it more magical for him?

My little boy's tooth came out, he is excited about the tooth fairy coming..?
I got some sparkley glitter and sprinkled it on my childrens pillows because it was fairy dust! and popped a pound coin under there pillows!
Reply:buy him a toothbrush:)
Reply:A pound coin under the pillow was all i got!! U could always sprinkle a bit of fairy dust by his bed??? Use talc or glitter??? Good luck xx
Reply:leave sparkles by his pillow. just say it's fairy dust!!!
Reply:Why perpetuate the lies...give him £1 and be done with it.
Reply:nah my boy has just lost his front two teethand a coin is quite enough for him to keep the magic alive just for now!
Reply:I always sprinkle some glitter near the bed, say its fairy dust. More hoovering for you to do but worth it when they see it. Dont forget the money under the pillow, maybe some glitter there too?
Reply:i got 20p for my 1st tooth and a note from the tooth fairy telling me 'congratulations on losing ur 1st tooth. i'll be checking u everynight now so make sure u brush those pegs before u so o sleep so i don't get ponged out in ur mouth!!' apparently i loved it but the fact that the toothfairy was in my mouth always creaped me out a bit O-o

ha..feel all unloved and coned by mother now, every1 else got £1...mind she did hav 8 kids so i guess it wulda bin expencive if we started tellin each other how much we got
Reply:Money is just fine. The whole excitement of putting the tooth some place for the tooth fairy and waking in the morning to find the money will be enough to keep him happy for awhile.

About $2 is a good amount to leave (when I was a kid it was 50 cents).
Reply:Usually they are not expecting anything magical.

Some of my daughter's friends get small gifts instead of money. Hopefully you know the going rate in town. Some kids at our school get $5+ for a tooth (CRAZY). Another friend gets coins from other countries.
Reply:A £1 coin under his pillow will do the trick
Reply:What a precious moment for a mother. The tooth fairy comes the night the tooth is lost and leaves a little money. Ti's Mama's chance to take the tooth and save it. Sometimes a note about how precious he is if you can type it or forge someone else's handwriting. Lucky you many more big moments to share
Reply:My 6 year old just lost his first teeth the last few months. We left him $5 since it was his first tooth and those teeth are special. Then only $1 for anymore teeth and if they had cavities the value goes way down so he better make sure he takes good care of his teeth!
Reply:Just give him a little quarter and take his tooth so he asks were his tooth went
Reply:money or a small present(eg a kiddie magazine) is enough,

though I know someone who forged 'letters' from the tooth fairy to their daughter but I feel this is too much because it resulted in the kid over believing in the tooth fairy still when most her age had stopped believing. it ended up as a bigger disapointment when she found out and the other kids thought she was stupid to still believe.
Reply:money is all, i had a tiny plastic chest made expecially for putting teeth in for the tooth fairy. My mom always made it special by giving me rare coins, like a 50 cent peice, or a dollar coin, you could also try a $2 bill.
Reply:We just got a few bob under the pillow. That was magic in it's self, my parents were tight! In the British sence of the word mind, as in, not so generous! =D
Reply:i put £2 under my daughters pillow 3 nights ago (a lot so everyone keeps telling me), and a little tiny bit of glitter, buts its a son you have so i wouldnt worry too much about the glitter bit, he might not like it lol :)
Reply:No. Just put a pound coine or $2 under his pillow. That should get him excited.
Reply:if you have a little pouch put the money in that, with glitter
Reply:My daughter lost her 1st tooth, the day before New Years Eve.I have never seen anyone so excited about losing a tooth.

As she was going to bed,she became rather tearful, and i asked why,my daughter turned round and said to me `while i was brushing my teeth,my tooth fell out and went down the plughole`

So we sat down together and wrote a note for the `tooth fairy` explaining what had happened and where she could find my daughters tooth.

Then she put the note on the end of her bed.Once she was asleep,we made the note disappear and put some money under her pillow.

She was rather shocked the next morning, when she found her note had gone.

You could type up and print a fancy letter for your little boy, saying thank you for his tooth, and how the fairies are going to make some nice furniture from it,that's what I've always told mine when they've lost a tooth.
Reply:I always got a dollar or two.

Mum always Put in small coins so it looks like more!
Reply:Leave him a little bit of money, a sprinkle of glitter("fairy dust"), and a note from the tooth fairy! Good luck!
Reply:Don't leave bills! everyone knows that the tooth fairy leaves coins, you can put it in a small fabric hand made bag with glitter in and out and a bit on the pillow...My son loves it. He says the tooth fairy left some of her magic dust for him and tries to do magic tricks. this started 2 1/2 yrs ago and is still going strong 4 teeth later.Good Luck!
Reply:My 6 year old son puts his tooth into an envelope and the toothfairy tears it open and leaves a pound in its place - this is enough to keep him happy
Reply:We give our kids 5 bucks a tooth...that in its self probably makes it pretty magical... :)
Reply:just give him a little change and maybe a lil toy
Reply:its normally money- my mom put £1 for my first one, £2 for my second one and so on- shopping for little toys helps take away any pain through losing the tooth
Reply:My parents always just gave me a quarter-I think inflation has made that go up tho! haha! I think you call the shots here, whatever you leave, he is gonna think its from the tooth fairy and its gonna be magical for him....if that means giving him a small toy along with a dollar or somethin-fine, but I would think some cash would be appropriate.
Reply:go in the middle of the nite and secrtely put $10 there he will be happy
