These are my 3yr old's questions of the week. No he has not lost any teeth yet. But his friend busted his mouth the other day and the tooth came out or something. Anyways they had the child put the tooth under the pillow so the tooth fairy could come and when the child woke he found $5. Then he had to tell all of his friends so now my child wants answers by morning. And I was already told there is no toothfairy bank or toothfairy world. Also the toothfairy can't take money from our bank because the cameras and there would be pictures and video so that is impossible. And money doesn't grow on trees anywhere.
Where does the Tooth Fairy get all of her money? And if no one has seen her how do they know its a girl?
Maybe she inherited it and always keeps it on her in cash.
And we know it's a girl because sometimes the money smells like women's perfume?
That is one skeptical kid...
Reply:Your wife is soooooo lucky. I read your questions and I don't understand how she can get mad at anyone with a smile and eyes like that! Report It
Reply:Very flattering. Thank you Report It
Reply:Have you seen the movie Darkness Falls?
Reply:She sells tooth necklaces and bracelets. Also a denture factory up in Canada.
Reply:The tooth fairy gets her money by selling kids teeth to make dentures for old people. The reason we know it's a girl is because they are better at handling money. If the fairy was a guy, he would spend the money on junk before he could get it back to the kids who lost teeth.
Reply:What kind of overindulgent parent gives their child $5 for a tooth?! I would've been knocking my own teeth out! All I used to get was a quarter. Explain to your child that there is no such thing as the tooth fairy but before you do that, research where the tradition came from and explain why children and their parents carry the tradition on. Say you wouldn't mind doing it with him either, as long as he knows not to expect that kind of money and that you don't want him to end up being spoiled. That's really unbelievable. By the way, she's a girl because traditionally the thought of a man with wings crawling in through the window at night to fiddle with the bed of youngsters was a morbid thought (this is pre-Micheal Jackson, people) so a feminine icon would be less threatening. good luck!
Reply:What your 3 year old didn't know is that in every dewdrop on the grass in the morning there is an abundance of fairy dust. Fairy dust is the magic powder fairies use to create things like coins .Fairies won't use this dust unwisely (like to make money for nothing). If he wonders why they don't make money for the poor its cause they provide for them in other ways.like by sprinkling the dust on other people which helps those people think kind thoughts like donating to charities.
They don't always give the same coins to each child.Like Santa Claus they consider the wealth of the recipient and they don't mean in money richness. Rather how rich the child is in such things as caring parents, loving siblings etc.
The toothfairy has been seen by very limited people. This is why some people have been able to create images of them for others to see.Your son just never knows if he's sitting quietly one day in the right spot, like a shooting star, he might just see a fairy.
Best wishes to you and your son.
