Parents: Don't you miss people like the Tooth Fairy or the Easter Bunny?

I'm getting older, and i'm already beginning to miss out on kid activities. Like easter egg hunts. I'm beginning to realize how much being an adult is going to suck, no more $2 from the tooth fairy, no suprise gifts from Santa, no more candy from the Easter bunny.

Do you miss the old days or do you somehow still live them?

Parents: Don't you miss people like the Tooth Fairy or the Easter Bunny?
You're only as old as you allow yourself to be. Why can't adults do these things? I still have Easter eggs hunts only now they're usually better ( and I'm 22 and live on my own!).... better prizes inside the egg and better hiding spots. Most adults give up these things because they think that it's what they're supposed to do. But really the ONLY reason you should EVER give up these thing is that they are not longer fun to you.

My mother is almost 50 and she still gets down on the floor with the kids and wrestles.... she wears bright stripped socks and secretly opens her grandkids toys before she gives it to them so she can play with them! LoL (although it wasn't as funny as a kid!) My mother is just a big kid.... and so am I. On my 18th birthday I got a tatoo that says Never Grow Up and I intend to stick to that! Nobody can make you grow up and ruin your fun unless you decide you're going to let them.

Remember time makes you grow old.... not up! So do what ever it is that makes you happy! And don't let anyone discourage you. If you're really lucky you'll find someone who feels the same way you do and will help you enjoy your life the way you want to. My fiance slipped a "Santa present" under the tree for me last year.... lol.... life is what you make of it. So make it good! Good Luck.
Reply:My daughter is 13 and does not want to hunt for Easter Eggs anymore. I think its kind of sad because childhood is no more, although you can still hand down the traditions when you have kids of your own.You can still have fun as a teenager with treasure hunts for Easter Eggs and birthdays.
Reply:You don't need to stop these fun things. My parents still have an Easter Egg hut for me and my sisters and we are in our mid to late 20's and two of us are married. We love it!
Reply:Nahh. Im not a parent, but I still have easter egg hunts and get money from the tooth fairy. And Santa! They are real if you just believe. Want to believe. They are the magic of life. The REAL magic!!!
Reply:in a way everyone misses them mostly because thing were simpler the. many adolecents have difficulties growing apart from childhood characters because of the memorys asscosciated with them. It is possible you are going through a stressful time? if so your longing for the easter bunny may be a result of that
