Why should we believe in the tooth fairy or God, since we can't see either? Should I have faith in the tooth

fairy because someone tells me to, or writes a book containing things that the tooth fairy is supposed to have said.

What makes God and the Bible any different, other than that the tooth fairy has not gotten as much publicity?

Why should we believe in the tooth fairy or God, since we can't see either? Should I have faith in the tooth
The tooth fairy actually leaves you money; something God neglects to do.
Reply:o ya that makes complete sense
Reply:you poor soul.........
Reply:You can believe whatever you choose to believe. God's will is still going to done on Earth.
Reply:Well the Tooth Faerie leaves you money. I think you should believe in her first since there is evidence.
Reply:I don't think kids should be exposed to any lies! Tooth fairy, Santa Clause and the whole easter bunny thing. You wonder what is wrong with the youth, You teach them not to lie and then turn around and lie to them. Now that is confusing.
Reply:why should you breathe in air if you can't see it??
Reply:Uh I'm going out on a limb here and say you don't believe in the air, the force of gravity, the force of the moon on the tides either, since you can't see THOSE.???
Reply:Can you see the wind?I don't think you would pray to the tooth fairy if you were in a foxhole.
Reply:I'm surprised you didn't throw Santa Claus in there too.

Study the human eye and then tell me there is no god.
Reply:God actually can be met and experienced...that is the difference.

Shame you have not...but don't assume no one has direct experience of God.

Reply:If you look outside your window (divert your eyes from the computer monitor) you will see the evidence for God.
Reply:Unicorns too! Oh, and let's not forget mermaids!
Reply:A teacher was teaching this same thing to her class one day. Upon finishing a bright young student asked the class, Do you believe that we have a teacher? They all replied yes.Why do you believe that he asked. They all said, Because we can see her. Then he asked the class, Do you believe that the teacher has a brain?
Reply:From an un-believer, I feel for you. I know what you mean about the whole "Why should I?". But if you think about it, you don't have to believe - but at the same time you shouldn't feel the need to sway other people from it. Some people need faith in a greater being =\
Reply:The tooth fairy was created to make a child's tooth coming out process a little easier and the bible is a book written a long time ago when men didn't have much knowledge of science so you have to make up your own belief in the Bible. However, the wind blows you know you feel but you can't see it. When you see the colors of trees in the fall, the colors that are different every year that not exact science. Sunsets and rainstorms are not exact sometimes they can't even be predicted. If you really love someone from your heart you can't prove it. No matter what you buy them or say they may and may not believe you. But you could never open your mind to let them see how you feel. Its the same with God. You have to realize there is something higher than your self and if its that important to you then you should start a project to find the truth many people have that's why there are so many religions now.
Reply:the tooth fairy provides evidence of her existance.

she leaves money under your pillow in exchange for your teeth.

god however leaves no such physical evidence of his existance.

hence there is more proof for the existance of the tooth fairy than god.
Reply:You can see god, if you open your eyes. he's everywhere. if we purify ourselves enough, we'll be able to experience god.

"We can't see God because we don't want to see God. It is as simple as that."

Reply:With such a narrow minded idea of what constitutes what can and cannot be believed on what basis do you give credence for anything that can be known as valid?

The human mind is so constituted that it accepts certain truths without evidence from without based on the fact that some things just are. These truths are classified as axioms and are self evident. These are not unlike the mathematical truths that do not require subjective cognition in order to be true. Examples are: time is, space exists and effects are preceded naturally from causes.

Get this much in your head and perhaps your brain may develop further into the areas of truths that require proof and subjective versus objective realities.

Until then good luck with your intellectual arguments with a "Tooth Fairy."
Reply:there is evidence of God existing... none of the tooth fairy
