Tooth Fairy?

How much money did you give to your child the last time

you were being the "tooth fairy".

I am just interested in the range or average amount you

Yahoo Answers parents give your children when they lose a tooth.

Tooth Fairy?
My poor daughter... the tooth fairy in our neighborhood is low on funds. Her friends are getting any where from $5.00 -$20.00 a tooth!!!!!!!!!! I had the tooth fairy go to target and get some marked down dollar items for her first tooth. She got several goodies along with a silver dollar and a hand full of change (when she counted it up it was $1.33). Every tooth there after (there have been 4 total) she gets a handful of change. The amount varies but there is always a silver dollar or a half dollar in the mix. It rarely exceeds $1.74. So now you know why I told her that the tooth fairy in our neighborhood is on a budget lol.
Reply:I give my children a £1 for baby small teeth and then £2 for the back larger ones.
Reply:I haven't hit the age of giving yet, but I used to get .50 per tooth and $1 per molar,
Reply:My sister I think gave them $1.00 per tooth...maybe more. When "I" was a kid it was like 25 cents and that was a LOT 30 yrs ago!! Teehee....inflation, my dear, inflation. Hope this helps.
Reply:When I was a kid, I got a quarter, maybe two (can't remember). I don't plan on giving my son any money when he starts losing his teeth. We don't "do" the Tooth Fairy, and i would feel silly just giving him money for his bloody tooth, haha.
Reply:First tooth 2 dollars and a note

All other teeth, 1 dollar
Reply:my mom gave me 1-2 dollars
Reply:$3.00

This started to be the amount when I left a pack of Pokemon cards a couple of times for lost teeth. That was the price of the cards

The first tooth was $5.00
Reply:my mom gave me 2 $ for each tooth but i got checked in hockey and lost 3 teeth and got 10$ but 2$ is good cause they only lose a tooth every5 months on average
Reply:1.00 per tooth. Also if you ever forget, slip it into the pillowcase and explain that they didnt look close enough. I had to do this once with my son :)
Reply:when i lost my first tooth i got a ten but when i lost my like 10 i got 5
Reply:give them 10 dollars and a little gift. it is really special to them!
Reply:I'm 13 so I don't have kids but I used to get small gifts instead of money.
Reply:i used to get about .50 or a 1.00-5.00 depending on the tooth. u can give more money for the bigger tooth.
Reply:we put a 2$ bill under his pillow
Reply:well i'm 13 (obviously not a parent) but heres how my parents *cough*tooth fairies *cough* do it

first tooth-2$

pulled teeth-$2-3

molars-$2

teeth that cause pain and agony-$2

other teeth-$1

or you can take them to the dollar store and let them spend the eqivalent amount for small toy/cany

thats how it works and anybody who said over 4$ are... weird
