How much does the tooth fairy leave under pillows nowadays?? My daughter has just lost her first tooth!!?

Given how many there are, and that they all fall out I'd say £1 for a healthy one and 20p for a dodgy one. That way you would encourage healthy dental hygiene and blame the tooth fairy for having high standards.

I only got a quarter. With inflation maybe $5? That seem like a bit much, though.
Reply:between 1 and 5 dollars
Reply:I always give my kids 10 dollars.
Reply:Im told its £5,im going to start pulling mine out and see what I can make !
Reply:Leave her the dentist bill.
Reply:it depends on how old your daughter is.

if she is fairly young a couple of bucks will be good

if she is a little older ( 10 or so )

give her $ 5
Reply:I leave , i mean the tooth fairy leaves my kids $1.00!
Reply:$1 per tooth.

Of course, in my house, the tooth fairy FORGOT to leave anything under the pillow the last time my son lost a tooth, so she came the next night with $5 and a note explaining why she hadn't been there the night before. Point is: don't forget.
Reply:I think a quarter is good.
Reply:Kids off all ages are thrilled by a buck.
Reply:When I was a kid I was given $15 for my first tooth and for the other ones $10
Reply:fill in your tax returns and we will answer your question within 6-8 weeks.id say a fiver really.
Reply:What!!!!!! Is the tooth fairy real????
Reply:£1.00 in the uk,we're not made of money!!
Reply:my friend gives a ard saying after 5 teeth her daughter gets to go to a amusement park with her parents and gets to take a friend. but her sister gives 3-4 dollars in quaters so it looks like a lot when its enough for a little kid
Reply:I always went to the bank and got a shiny new silver dollar
Reply:For the first tooth, it's $5 and $1 a tooth after that. Also, don't forget fairy dust!! When my daughter lost her first tooth, my mother-in-law took one of her dolls, wet her foot, put it in glitter and "walked" up the bed to the pillow. It was a pain to wash but the look on my daughter's face when she saw the tooth fairy had been there was well worth it.
Reply:Give her lots of small change so she can't figure out how much she got.
Reply:i always got $5 so $5 i guess
Reply:well im sure when we were all young we got like a nickel or a quarter but im a pre-school teacher and all i hear is that the tooth fairy is dropin fives now! must be nice i think im gana start knockin my own teeth out just for gas money!!! ha
Reply:I always got $2. Depending on age I think that's pretty reasonable. Oh yes and I also always got a pack of sugarless gum. :-)
Reply:£1 in England that's enough
Reply:My kids always get $2.00.
Reply:Don't overdo it - the coin should be small in size while reasonable in value - in the UK £1 is probably about right . It was 5p in my day!
Reply:I still only give a quarter, 25cents. I think it is the idea not the amount that counts and the idea is that you are recognizing the child going through another stage towards maturity. My son knows the truth about the tooth fairy and I still give him the quarter. Sometimes he has to remind me.

and to answer you second question... Yes a buck is a one dollar bill.
Reply:i would say a pound....inflation and all that
