What's the going rate for a tooth from the tooth fairy these days?

My niece lost a tooth the other night (Shes 5) and her mom put $2.00 under her pillow. When she got up the next morning, she was like OMG only 2.00, what can I buy for 2.00. My sis in law was like WOW, when we were kids we were lucky to get a quarter and we were happy and grateful for that quarter....





I have a 2 year old daughter that I will going thru this with soon and I want to know the scoop here lol

Reply:my daughter gets $5-lol i can see her sayin how cheap the tooth fairy is! lol- my kid wont try a bite of ''new'' foods for less than a quarter. shes 9-she also sells glasses of water etc. she has a bank account (car fund when 16) shes nuts about gettin a car!

Reply:I got a dollar when I was a kid. I hear about kids these days who wake up to silver dollars on their nightstands. That's absurd to me, I mean it's just a tooth.


..They end up collecting 20+ genuine silver dollars by the time they lose all their baby teeth.
Reply:Wow, times have really changed. Kids get paid off for everything it seems, from all the answers you got. I remember the quarter thing, too. I guess with inflation, maybe 10 bucks would be good.
