My lad lost his first tooth today (literally lost. We can't find it.....) How much can he expect to find under his pillow in the morning? He will be 6 just after Christmas.
What is the going rate for the tooth fairy?
£1 in my house. When I was little we would get 25 pence:]
Reply:£2
Reply:Usually it is about $1.00 per tooth... but a lot of people give extra for the first tooth ($2.00-$5.00)!
Reply:One pound must be the going rate.
Reply:The tooth fairy always rewarded with a silver coin the provision of milk teeth, what you then give as a reward for bravery in the face of toothlessness ,is up to you.
Reply:i always got 5 dollars for my teeth
Reply:40p in our house.
Reply:I have to agree with purple on price range, I usually leave $5 per tooth for my 9 year old! Tooth Fairy is rich at our house! LOL!!
Reply:My little boy just lost a tooth and the fairy left him £1.00 !!!
Reply:My 5 year old just lost his first tooth aswell.
I gave him $5 and a Webkinz(he loves it on there) and a note saying "Congrats".
I usually give $5 or $6 for the first tooth, a stuffed animal and a note. Second tooth gets $2 and a small prize. Third tooth, fourth, fifth, etc. recieve $1 or $2 and sometimes a prize if they lose it on a special date.
Reply:The tooth fairy always gave me $1.00/tooth.
But that was when there was such thing as penny candy.
With inflation today, I would think it would be around $5.00/tooth. That should get him a nice toy car, or he can save it.
Reply:i'd give a pound
Reply:i dont know what the rate is anymore ----we all wear dentures!!
Reply:None...you got to have the tooth. It's an exchange program...lol
The tooth fairy union won't allow money to be given with the tooth.
Reply:I do £2.00 for the first one and £1.00 for the others. The first is on special offer.
Reply:£1/tooth for our kids.
Reply:£1 is what the toothfairy leaves at our house for the kids.
Reply:hi in ireland if it is the first tooth it is around 5 euros which if ur from the states tats about 3.50..awh so cute..best of luck with the rest of the teeth
Reply:Our toothfairy gives $5.00 and a small prize for the first tooth and $4.00 for all the other teeth.
Reply:I just found out my neice gets £10 from her tooth fairy, needless to say I nearly pulled out my own teeth!! Think £1 is fair.
Reply:I get a dollar. It depends i guess.
Reply:It's $1.00 per tooth at our house.
Reply:we payed my nephew $4 for his first tooth but $2 every tooth after that.
Reply:I think 1 dollar or 1 pound is good. My daughter got a gold dollar for her first tooth, and now just gets regular dollar bills (couldn't find anymore gold coins when the second one came out).
Reply:geez, i hope our kids don't ask around. at our house it is a golden or silver dollar per tooth, including the first one. my kids think that's a fortune.
Reply:It's been so long since I gave out tooth fairy money. My daughter lost her last tooth at 10 or 11 (and she knew about the truth of the tooth fairy long before the alst was out).
It usually depends on the circumstances. If the tooth was hurting and bleeding and loose for the longest time, I'd give her a lot more than the usuall. Plus if the tooth fairy was "late" she'd get a little toy. I say about $7 is good, since it was the first one AND you can't find it.
Reply:Well he is pretty young, so he doesn't need alot of money because really what is he going to buy? I would say between $0.25 to $1.50 should be good for him.
Reply:$1.00 is what my kids get
Reply:UK £10 or US $25
You only loose your baby teeth once! And for all the pain that poor child went through, to turn round and give them less than $20 would be a sign of insensitive and selfish parenting :)
