What does the tooth fairy actually do with the teeth?

Well I know a LOT about the tooth fairy. She lives in a white castle of First Teeth (the first lost teeth from every little girl and boy!) and wears beautiful white gowns. And even though some people think she has a tooth on her wand, it's actually a tiny star. The reason it's a star is because once she takes the First Teeth to use for herself, she takes the REALLY white teeth and makes them into stars. The star on her wand was her First Tooth. So if you brush well and floss, your teeth become stars when the tooth fairy takes them!

Reply:She turns them into dust, and freezes them into unique shapes. But it takes a long time, and she chooses to dump it from the sky (where she lives) during the winter time. So whenever you see a "Snowflake", it could be your old tooth, and remember when you walk through the first "Snowfall" you are really walking through piles of old teeth.

Reply:The tooth fairy is a traditional children's character said to give children a large amount of money (or sometimes a gift) in exchange for a baby tooth when it comes out of a child's mouth. Children are supposed to leave the tooth under their pillow and this magical being will take while they sleep.

Cultural historians say that superstition has always surrounded teeth and these valuable tokens have been used to ward off witches and demons in the past. Likewise, if discarded body parts such as teeth, nail clippings or hair fell into hostile hands, it was believed that they could become the focus of sympathetic magic. Vikings were even supposed to give children a "tooth fee" for using children's teeth.

In a variety of cultures, the shedding of the first baby tooth became a kind of ritual. This rite of passage has been documented in numerous ways. Many of these ceremonies included verbal incantations and wishes, along with actions. Variations on this custom were most likely passed along through oral communication.
